Opel Collective is an established and experienced collective of allied health professionals and positive behaviour support practitioners who specialise in working with participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme in Western Australia.

Our services are individually tailored and delivered to suit your needs. We visit you wherever you choose, at home, work, or in your local community, whichever is best for you.

Positive Behaviour Support helps people with a reputation for behaviours of concern to develop skills, improve their quality of life and reduce behaviours that limit their access to everyday activities.
Opel Collective PBS practitioners work closely with you, your family and carers, supporters and other stakeholders to;
gain a shared understanding of you, your strengths and your needs,
work to reduce behaviours of concern through the process,
work with your team to identify and reduce the use of any restrictive practices,

Specialist Support Coordination
Connecting you with the help you need.
Opel’s Specialist support coordinators use their skills, knowledge and experience to support people to connect with the services and supports they want.
We help our clients to develop the skills they need to achieve their goals so that disability will never be a barrier.
We work with you, your family, carers and other support services so that you get the most out of your NDIS plan
Our support coordinators help participants to build the skills they need to use their NDIS plan and learn how to make the most of their opportunities.
We ensure you have the supports you need to increase capacity, maintain relationships, manage services, live more independently and be included in your community.
Our support coordinators assist you to manage challenges and ensure the best services are available for you to lead the life you choose.
We focus on connecting you to the services you need and negotiating with your chosen providers to get the best value from your plan.
Occupational Therapy
helping you work, rest and play
Opel Collective OTs provide occupational therapy assessment and interventions to support people with disabilities achieve their goals from early childhood and throughout life.
This includes;
Functional Assessment that will support the development of plan goals and advise on options for support and services. This includes using standardised assessments and writing reports to the NDIS
Assessments to assist with finding the right home for you as well as the best supports to meet your needs
Prescription of assistive technology/equipment that will help you meet your goals and advise on helpful home modifications

A social enterprise is a business where profits are re-invested back to increase our social impact by improving services and assisting those who are less fortunate.
Opel Collective invests its surplus funds to:
Provide a program of professional development for team members,
Support the Opel Collective Scholarship
Work in partnership with other organisations to offer culturally sensitive services to people in regional and remote WA,
Work in partnership with universities and tertiary institutions to undertake relevant research and evaluation projects,
Other social innovative projects as proposed by team members, and may include mentoring, advocacy and service improvement.
The Scholarship will be offered in 2026, 2027 and 2028 to domestic students enrolled part-time in either the Graduate Certificate in Positive Behaviour Support or Graduate Certificate in Complex Communication Needs at Curtin University.
The Opel Collective Scholarship supports dedicated practitioners to deepen their knowledge and skills in positive behaviour support within the disability sector.
Established by Susan Peden, Managing Director of Opel Collective and a leader with over 30 years’ experience in the disability and human services industry, the Scholarship reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening the local WA disability workforce.
By supporting individuals to lead the development of systems that prioritise inclusion and well-being, this scholarship encourages lasting sector-wide impact.
With a focus on practical application and system-level change, recipients will be empowered to drive meaningful progress across a rapidly evolving landscape.
The Scholarship is open to domestic students (Australian or New Zealand Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa holder)

As an Associate you manage your own workload and choose the hours you want to work.
Opel Collective provides a secure and confidential client management system.
You are responsible for maintaining your own professional registration, and eligibility to work as an NDIS provider, including ABN, insurances, tax and superannuation requirements.
We take responsibility for the administrative side of the service, from accepting referrals, making service bookings and service agreements to managing invoices and paying fortnightly remunerations to associates.
Opel Collective maintains NDIS registration and compliance with the Quality and Safeguarding Commission.
Opel Associates are experienced professionals and by joining Opel, have access to a supportive and collegiate team offering advice, peer supervision support and mentoring if requested.
